VI. Konstantinas Glinskis

  • Konstantinas Glinskis (1886-1938) - an actor, stage-manager. In 1910 he finished Suvorin drama school.

  • In 1911-1918 he worked as an actor and stage-manager in St. Petersburg theatres. In 1911-1916 he was the leader of the Lithuanian drama and music company in St.Petersburg. In 1919 he created the studio of theatre in Vilnius. The following year he staged the first play in the National theatre - “La Traviata”  by G.Verdi. During the periods of 1920-1926 and 1927-1937 he worked in the National theatre, in 1926-1927 he worked as an actor and stage-manager in a Russian drama company in Tallin. In 1924-1934 he taught in National school of acting.

VII. Ona Rymaite

  • Ona Rymaite (1889-1950) - an actress.In 1911-1914 - she worked as an actress in the “Song” society and A.Vitkauskas troupe. In 1915 she studied and acted in Moscow. After returning to Lithuania she worked as an actress in National theatre.

  • Ona Zabielaite-Karveliene (1899-1955) - an opera singer. She studied in the Music Academy in Roma, used to sing in the theatres of Naples, Rome, and Kremona. She achieved the highest evaluation in Greece, while singing nearly the whole parties of mecosoprano.

VIII. Opera singers of National theatre:

  • Kipras Petrauskas (1885-1968)

  • Antanas Sodeika (1890-1979)

  • Juozas Mazeika (1907-1976)

  • Juozas Bieliunas (1890-1955)

  • A numerous library exhibits, also the documentary matter on the first Lithuanian opera „Birute“ by Mikas Petrauskas (1873-1937).

IX. Musical instruments

  •  A very small amount of musical instruments from the collections of our museum is exhibited (cittern, flutes, viola da gamba, viola d’amour, fideli and others). Additionally, an album-chronicle by guitarist Mark Sokolowsky (1818-1883), play-bills of guest circus artists who used to play in Vilnius in the 19 th century, are exhibited.

X. Ballet masters of National theatre:

  • Olga Dubeneckiene-Kalpokiene (1891-1967)

  • Jadvyga Jovaisaite (1903)

  • Marija Juozapaityte (1912-1992)

  • Olga Malejinaite (1907-1975)

  • Bronius Kelbauskas (1904-1975)

  • The piano „Oszmianiec“ (~1830). According to one version, Maryla Puttkamer-Wereszczakowna used to play this piano while entertaining Adam Mickiewicz, possibly inspiring him for creating new poems.
